Children, Youth and Teens Ministry
“It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” (Frederick Douglass, 1855)
“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” – 3 John 1:4
A church that does not focus on its children and youth is destined to fail. Younger church members are essential to building our church. Activities that speak to children on their terms and communicate with them in ways they find comfortable help encourage participation and sustained membership.
The CTY Ministry serves children between the ages of 1–18 years. The youth include those aged 19–25 years, comprising members who have completed their secondary school education. The ministry therefore also includes high school students.
The CTY has the highest potential for growth and serves as a strategic point of intervention for the eventual growth of the Parish. Investments in this area are targeted toward creating space to accommodate growing numbers, providing equipment for services, and developing innovative and attractive programs that promote spiritual growth and retention. It is an important ministry as it molds children and youth to become future leaders and committed members of the Anglican Church. The CTY therefore requires strengthened support, including in Sunday School teaching, to ensure quality knowledge and discipline are imparted to children during this critical stage of development.
ACK Kiahuria has put in place a team of CTY mentors to support, guide, and oversee the spiritual, social, and career development of CTY members.
One group that often experiences a decline in participation is college students. These young adults may have been very involved in church programs and activities, but once they join college, those relationships may weaken. Offering virtual Sunday services and small online groups for college students can help maintain these relationships and sustain their passion for the church.
This Youth Ministry takes part in and facilitates a number of crucial activities within and outside the church. The group is involved in Keshas, visits to the less fortunate, leading English service praise and worship, participation in the Diocese of Mt Kenya TAI Ministry, and nature excursions such as hiking. Each activity provides an opportunity to witness for Christ and reach others.
Their program, “Victory Now,” drives campaigns against drug and substance abuse and pregnancies outside marriage, promoting responsible living and strong Christian values among the youth.
Children, Teens and Youth Ministry

Hear from God personally
We are committed to raising young men and women who:

Children’s Ministry (Ages 0 - 12 years)
Our children’s ministry is vibrant, joyful, and rooted in God’s Word. We don’t just teach Bible stories we teach children how to pray, trust God, and grow spiritually from a young age. We believe seeds planted early produce lifelong faith.

Teen Ministry ( 13 - 17 years)
Our teen ministry challenges young people to go deeper. We are raising leaders, worshippers, intercessors, and world changers. This generation will not be silent. This generation will not be lukewarm. This generation will walk in boldness.

Youth Ministry (18 - 35 years)
Our youth ministry provides a safe space . Through dynamic teaching, worship, small groups, and mentorship, we equip youth to stand firm in their faith and make wise decisions.
